For most of us, Granny Jo is either our grandmother or our great-grandmother. She is the one with the long, long hair. She is the one who came to America as a new convert to the church. She is the one who only spoke Danish and had to learn English. She is also the one who taught Sunday School for decades. She truly had to be a remarkable women, who had tremendous patience for her family and true love for her daughters. Here she is pictured with her siblings: (left to right) Conrad, Anna, Margaret, Granny Jo (or Else Johanne Ann Marie Nybo Williams), and Carl Nybo.
