Sitting on the couch

Looking at their faces, you have to wonder what they are thinking?
Taylor and Cambree on the couch at Granny Pearl's house at Christmas 2011.

Now they are bored with what the adults are doing and are watching TV instead.

Then, Cambree realizes that the camera is on her and she smiles for it.  What a smile!

Kindergarten graduation

Here is Cambree on her graduation day from TES as a Kindergartener.
Cambree's teacher was Deby Alexander Hyland.
She was a great teacher.
Deby was a former dance student of Cambree's grandmother, Miss Pearl.
In fact, she might have been the best dancer Miss Pearl ever had.
Kindergarten graduation was a big and important event at TES.
The students were so proud of their achievement and it truly was an achievement.

My Kindergarten Year

Cambree had the privilege to attend two different kindergartens.  She began her school career at a kindergarten in Germany but was able to attend Kindergarten at Territorial Elementary School at the very end of the school year.  Her grandfather, Grant Turley, was the Principal at TES.

The pictures below are of Cambree and her Aunt Chrissy on her graduation day from Kindergarten at TES.  Chrissy would have been a Senior at CVHS at the time.  The dress Cambree is wearing she borrowed from her Aunt Ohleo (Chrissy).  It is the same dress Chrissy wore when she graduated from Kindergarten 13 years prior.

I am trapped

What would Cambree say about this post?

I believe she would say something like, "I think I spent half my life in a high chair.  My parents always promise to feed me but I think it was an evil plot to confine me to the chair.  My arms were too short to get myself out, so there I sat just waiting.  No wonder I played with my food.  I had nothing else to do."

"Look, give me a toy and give me something to play with and I could last another hour or so in my chair."

Sleeping Beauty

Oh, how many stories are there in this simple photo.  Most important is the little sleeping beauty, Cambree.

Cambree is Melissa and Chris' oldest and only daughter.  Here she is fast asleep at Grammy Pearl's house in Chrissy's old room.  You can tell the room by the shelves in the room.  The book shelves were made by her great-grandfather, Gerald Turley.  The afghan covering Cambree was made by her great-grandmother, Afton Williams Allen.  To the side of Cambree you see one of Chrissy's many stuff animals that she loved so much.

Many of us only dream of such sleep the young can have.
