Little Bunny Foo Foo

One day Grant was mowing the weeds/plants in his field and he ran over a nest of two bunnies.  

The bunnies were very little and sadly, one did not survive the incident.  

However, the other bunny did survive the traumatic experience.  

It was very little and in order for it to live, it had to be fed using a small bottle.  

Mikkel was assigned the duties of providing the bunny nourishment with a bottle.  

Through this interaction, the bunny became quite fond of Mikkel 

and loved to climb up on his shoulder to be fed.  

It would even give kisses to Mikkel when on his shoulder.  

That little bunny gave Mikkel a lot of pleasure and love.

Celebrating Veteran's Day

Chino Valley High School's band was playing at a community celebration for the 2014 Veteran's Day and Mikkel had the opportunity to play at the St. Catherine Catholic Church in Chino Valley.
During his high school band career, Mikkel switched back and forth from the trumpet to the baritone depending on the needs of the band.  During his Senior year, pictured below, he played the baritone.  

Princesses at Prescott's Birthday Celebration

On May 30, 2014, we attended Prescott's birthday celebration by going down to the Plaza.  We were just in time to watch the Disney Princesses perform.  After their performance, they made themselves available for pictures.  Mikkel and Chrissy took advantage of this opportunity and here is the evidence.

Mikkel the Comicon King

Mikkel loves comicon.  Here is a photo taken by his sister Chrissy all dressed up in one of his outfits.

Max & Kovu

Everyone knows Marc and Chrissy are animal lovers.  Chrissy chose Max and Marc chose Kovu.  What is interesting is that the personality of the dogs comes close to the personality of their owners.

As animal lovers, they want to share that love with others.  When Mikkel was having a hard time with life, Marc and Chrissy offered Mikkel a loan of their dogs.  This loan has been extended to possible ownership now.  Mikkel does a good job taking care of the dogs and they look forward each morning and each evening to see him.

This picture was taken Mikkel's senior year.  He needed a picture of his animals for a scholarship he was applying for at the time.  The picture was taken at Circle L Animal Hospital where Mikkel did an internship for his JTED program which later turned into a job.

Can you tell that Mikkel has treats in his hand.  He has Max's attention.

At the Garden Tomb

When we visited Melissa in Jerusalem, we had the opportunity to visit the Garden Tomb.  This photo was taken at the back of the garden.  It is from this point that you can see the Hill of the Skull or Golgotha. Mikkel is giving Aunt Pearl moose antlers while Melissa is giving him bunny ears.

The true character of Gerald Mecham Allen can surely be seen in his interaction with his grandchildren.  What patience, kindness and charity was exhibited between this patriarch and his posterity.
